Exterior and Interior of 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0
The future of 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 will need a few more elements to be further distinguished from the standard GT3 RS. The first details suggest the 4.0 version will get a special exterior color, a new set of wheels painted in either GT Silver Metallic or Black, gray top-tint on windscreen, and special headlamps and taillamps. The interior will get sport bucket seats, and Alcantara and carbon fiber elements. The air conditioning system will be removed to facilitate weight reduction.
Engine of 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0
Under the hood, Porsche will use a 4000 cc version of the engine used in the standard GT3 RS. This engine will deliver a total of 500 HP, which is a 50 HP increase over the current GT3 RS model. Considering Porsche will try to keep the weight as low as possible, expect to see significantly improved performance numbers for the RS 4.0 version. No words on the exact numbers just yet, but they will be much different when compared to the current top speed of 193 mph and the 3.8 seconds for the 0 to 60 mph sprint time.
The engine will be combined with a six-speed manual gearbox and Porsche Ceramic Composite Break PCCB.
